Amber Rose Snaps on Vibe Mag.

"Just read "my" interview in @VibeMagazine half of the story was untrue & ridiculous!" she wrote on Twitter yesterday. "F##K that Cover F##K @VibeMagazine yall wrote a bunch of negative bullsh*t that I never said or did. Yall don't give a f*ck that I have a Mom & Family thats gonna read that fake ass sh*t I gave yall a truthful interview & Yall f##ked me. I'm so sick of keeping my mouth shut I didn't ask for this life it was handed to me I was nothing but nice to everyone I spoke to @ Vibe,"

Rose didn't clarify which parts of the story were untrue.

The article quotes her as saying she still loves Kanye West, but not in a "sexual way." And that she and New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush had an affair after she split from Yeezy, "we were each other's rebound."

Rose also supposedly talked about not growing up rich and Kanye telling her she would become an icon.

"I don't have rich parents, and it's a struggle. I can't just call my dad and be like, 'Dad, my money is a little messed up. Can you buy me a car or a house?' It's not like that for me."

Usain BOLT Strikes Again

World record-holder Usain Bolt struggled to win his first race in nine months, clocking 9.91 seconds in the 100 meters to narrowly beat former record-holder Asafa Powell at the Golden Gala on Thursday. Powell timed 9.93 and European champion Christophe Lemaitre crossed third in 10.00. As usual, Bolt got out to a slow start but unlike in most of his recent races he was behind until pulling in front with his very last strides.

"I was nervous as it was my first race of the season and I didn't think it went well and the nerves got to me," Bolt said. "In fact it was a totally bad race and I'm just pleased I won."Bolt had not competed since he was beaten by Tyson Gay in Stockholm last August, snapping the Jamaican's two-year unbeaten streak. The triple Olympic and world champion then ended his season because of back and Achilles' tendon problems. Bolt didn't celebrate as much as usual, waiting a while before kneeling down on one knee and pointing his arms diagonally to the sky in his usual victory salute - drawing a large cheer from the crowd of 47,732 at Stadio Olimpico on a pleasant evening.

"I don't think I should judge today," Bolt said. "Today was just to get the cobwebs out. But I got through the race injury free and now I'm just looking forward to the next race."

Bolt will run again on Tuesday at the Golden Spike in Ostrava, Czech Republic. His next Diamond League meet will be in Oslo on June 9, as he prepares for the world championships in Daegu, South Korea in August. Since Powell set a world record of 9.74 seconds in Rieti, Italy, in 2007, Bolt has broken the mark three times, the last being a 9.58 at the 2009 world championships in Berlin..
Yet another Jamaican, Steve Mullings, still holds this year's best time - 9.89 set in Clermont, Florida, five days ago. Bolt has beaten Powell in nine of their 10 meetings, with Powell's only win coming in Stockholm in 2008.
After the finish, Powell went over and wrapped his arm around his rival and said "I tired toward the end and if I had kept it up I would have been the winner tonight. I think I was too worried by Usain at the end of the race," Powell said. "I always said this was my race to win and I gave it away. I knew I could have won and I needed to stay focused and relaxed. I'm more confident now as I know I could have won."
Bolt added more muscle to his frame over the offseason to improve his starts, but he still had a much slower reaction time than Powell - 0.174 vs. 0.133, with Lemaitre at 0.129.
The wind registered plus 0.06.

Lemaitre's personal best is 9.97.

TOMS / FREE BRACELET

So i was geting dressed earlier and i found something pretty interesting in my TOMS show box. It was a letter in a envelope and a bracelet. Some poeple think TOMS are jus shoes , they are a movement. I wanna share with you what the letter says:

Dear friend,

On the first shoe drop four years ago, a child tied a similar bracelet on my wrist. It is there today. And everytime look down at it i think of that child and the absolute joy he had when we gave him a pair of new shoes. YOU have provided that same joy to a child through your purchase, and i want to give u this bracelet to say thank you, but to give you a daily reminder of the joy your purchase brought to a child in need. Wear it with pride and know we are all in this together

My deepest thanks, Blake

Working girl

“Working Girl” is the story of a brilliant school girl who is driven by grave circumstances into the seedy world of prostitution. The tale explores the social issues of poverty, prostitution, maternal sacrifice and the hypocrisy of some men who by their reckless and irresponsible behavior help to ensure that the world’s oldest profession continues to flourish. Lotus White is an underprivileged but intelligent sixteen year old student who becomes a schoolgirl by day and a hooker at night after she finds out that her mother has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and has only a few months left to live. Her mother meanwhile, has worked all her life as a prostitute but she is determined that her young daughter should have a good education and a better life. When she finds out that she is dying she must dedicate all of her waning energy to one last fight to ensure that her lifelong plans for Lotus are not suddenly ruined. Will Lotus be able to maintain her virtue in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds or will she be unable to escape the vicious cycle of poverty and fall prey to the old saying: 'once a whore always a whore'?

“Working Girl” is an intense emotional drama with a good dose of comic relief.

Dancehall Queen Crystal

The Official competition was started in 1996 by Brian "Big Head" Martin. Jamaica dance-hall queen is now recognized as the official competition used to crown the hottest female dancer. The first title was won by Carlene Smith in 1991 at the once famous Cactus Night Club in Portmore, St Catherine Jamaica. The competition is now internationally known and attracts dancers from all over the world. Places such as Germany, Canada, England USA, Japan and Jamaica. Which makes it the most anticipated calendar event in Jamaica, which is held at Pier One Montego Bay. The first foreign winner was Junko Kudo from Japan. She won the title in 2002. Out of many Dancehall Queens I have seen there is one who stood out the most to me. Her name is Crystal Knight.

Crystal is a 25 yr old philadephia resident from Jamaica who is clearly taking over the dancehall queen competitions in the tristate area. Inspired by Dancehall reggae music and her favorite Artist Vybz Kartel, she has been dancing since 2006. Since 2006 Crystal has won 3 dancehall queen Competitions, in Philadelphia 2008, Jersey 2010 and recently in Delaware 2011. In weeks Crystal Promotions is hosting a party Birthday Bash for Dancehall Queen Crystal "ITZ AH DANCING TING" June 3rd 2001 at 3rd word on 48th & Baltimore Ave Phila, Pa.

Come out and watch Crystal do her thing!!!!!!! remember "ITZ AH DANCING TING"

American Dreaming - Antigua Thoughts

This last weekend I realized how good life is going for me. I have people following my blog by the day, emails coming in for business opportunities, family and friends showing a lot of support. New friends, especially those I've met threw posting my blog via Facebook & Twitter. However, regardless of how good its going, I'm still working for more. I look at it like this! I'm 21, I have a satisfied full-time job, I have no kids, and attending school in a few months. What do I have to lose? Why now strive for goals I've had since I was 10-11 years old? Meeting new people, socializing, taking advice from ones older and some more experienced than me gives me drive. Drive to show I can do more with photos, fashion, my style, my creativity also Why I stand out, more importantly, why I give Antigua and the other Caribbean countries so much credit. I just feel like it's a respect issue. Having a background from Antigua, we get called Jamaicans and African because of the way we talk, dance, cook, and dress. It's like a stereotype, for example: When someone is hungry they say "I want some Jamaican food". Correction, Jamaicans aren't the only Island in the Caribbean that cook or eat oxtail. No disrespect, I just think people should be more cautious to one's religion and culture. If you have to do research feel free to do so, we are human we don't know everything. Ignorance is not knowing, don't be ignorant!

Dish of Antigua

Fungi (pronounced FOON-ji) is a cooked cornmeal paste, similar to Italian polenta. Before serving, the paste is formed into little balls. Fungi is eaten in many parts of Antigua. It is usually accompanied by a dish of mashed vegetables and a sauce of salted cod-fish (also known as salt fish seen in my good friday post), tomatoes, garlic and onions.

Fungi requires very simple ingredients. Nevertheless, making it can prove to be a challenge for even the most experienced cooks. There are several variations of fungi. Sugar or vegetables can be added to the mixture to change the taste and texture of the final product.
