St. Paul Loves Jamaica

Independent Reggae Artist St. Paul, a/k/a Paul Antonio Allen was born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Jamaica.   From the young, impressionable age of 7, St. Paul’s path to his purpose had been unknowingly paved with music and the inspiration it brings.  From the healing groove of Bob Marley to the soothing, rhythmic beats and lyrics of Barrington Levy, St. Paul’s admiration for these artists fed his own hunger to make a difference and get a glimpse of his calling.

Mary Ann's Daughter

Attending numerous events in the Philadelphia I have met quite few people. Standing out, personality, style just overall demeanor and the way you carry yourself.  This particular person stood out the most to me just not on one occasion. So I decided to schedule a sit down with this individual just so myself, bloggers, readers, stylists and designers could know more about her.

R.I.P Ms. Vanessa Banks

This I have be the saddest blog post I've ever done. Saturday I was discussing plans for Vth Color Clo. S/S Photo shoot and I was choosing and thinking of the best models I could use. Vanessa came to mind. Maybe I'll give her a call.... Yesterday I got the phone call .She is no longer with us...smh!  I met Vanessa in 2009 at Fashion Fixe Fashion Show. A fundraiser event for kids with autism. Vanessa was the most electrifying energized, sickest model I've ever seen with the biggest appetite. Being as though this was the first ever fashion I ever been in. Vanessa showed my he ropes on how to carry myself, how to walk, straight face, & act. She basically killed this fashions show being in EVERY scene smh...straight beast. She wasn’t just a mom; she was someone daughter, and a friend of many. This is a tragedy for all of us!  R.I.P Ms. Vanessa Banks....."Do Dat"

NO Ugg Boots Or Get the Boot

So allegedly Uggs have become in a problem in the Pottstown School District. Its a known fact that students of the middle have been sneaking their cell phones and other electronic devices into school inside their shoes. With Pottstown having a NO CELL PHONE usage in school they have banned students form wearing Uggs. The students still have the to chance the where them  to school BUT the student must place them in their locker before class. John Armato director of communications says...

"the problem isn't with the boots, per se, but with the contraband some kids are trying to sneak into the classroom"...""Any boot that either is not laced to the top, buckled to the top, or is by its very nature open at the top," he says.
That would include many types of rain boots and the popular "Uggs," a soft, fleece-lined suede boot.
"We have had a problem with youngsters concealing cell phones in their shoes," Armato explained to CBS Philly, "and during the classroom the cell phones are going off and being disruptive to a positive educational atmosphere."

My Opinion: I don't think its fare for them to banned cell phones i think the Pottstown Distrcit should use metal detectors for students each morning. Then they will be able to know who is sneaking there their cell phone with the punishment of a suspention or a confiscate til the end of the school day.

Good Day Bloggers,
Last night i had the chance to attend an event call "Philly Style Bloggers" Hosted my Farj Muhammad of STYLISH THOUGHT & Curran Swint of KINGS RULE TOGETHER. The event was to bring different bloggers, styles, & personalities into one room to connect. It was a jus a great experience to learn about other bloggers on how they got started and what made them started blogging. I also had had the chance to meet some of the faces behind some of the favorite blogs like FROM MY STYLE 2 URS,  FAME APPEAL, & MEN'S STYLE PRO just to name a few. Attending this event I've learn how to create more content, write better & ways to have my readers look forward to my next post. Its always an inspiring when you can meet people that keep the same interest as you, not event just fashion and style. like minded people period! So I give thanks to all who I connected with and hopefully we will again at the other events.

Cee Lo, Jamaica, & Blues

Sounds interesting right? I knowwwww :-)
Artist Cee Lo Green well known for his song "Crazy" sang by his group Gnarls Barkley is headlining The Jamaican Jazz and Blues Music Festival! The festival is going to be at the Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium on January 28, 2012. If I could go I definitely would. Can you imagine Cee Lo's amazing range and tone mixed with the colorful, and fun beats of the islands? It's gonna be an all around fun filled experience.

Not only is Cee Lo performing but other amazing artists include the sexy, smooth voiced Shaggy and angelic singer Celine Dion. I think its a  great mixture of artists. I can only imagine how incredible the unsigned artists will be, who are also debuting.
